SWASH bucklin'

Recently going over a few files, I came across Swash's spring summer 2010 lookbook. Swash is a small thing not really well known over here in North America. Based in London, it is a fashion partnership between Sarah Swash and Toshio Yamanaka who both studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Every collection that they come out with is a brilliant mix of patterns and prints and quite heavily Japanese-inspired, though it pulls off the total British vibe. That's what makes Swash breathtaking, in my opinion anyways.

Yamanaka had also completed various courses in technical fashion design and trained as a pattern cutter at Kingston University and the London College of Fashion. His technicality totally shows through and maybe this is why they can also construct successful menswear accessories. I personally love their BIG bags that seem to be so big that you can probs fit your whole life in it. Hehe.

Swash grew in Japan then won lots of awards in Europe. What we want is for them to branch out into North America, and for that to happen... North Americans should start opening up to a stronger silhouette, funkier architecture, and anything goes prints. Let's have more fun with our clothes, shall we ?

All about animals, dogs, zebras, slinkys, giraffes, basically anything goes. Not just the animal prints, but also the animal HEADS. These are scarf designs, but they design beautiful clothes that include turbans, wide-legged jumpsuits, maxis, draperies, leggings, and even to simple tees. Such an eclectic mix of character and vitality !!! LOVE !!!!!!

I exhaust through my music library by putting songs on repeat for one too many times. Later on, I can't even come near the song. It's fucking repelling. I've listened to it too much. So is it better to restraining oneself so that one can listen to it.. "forever" ?? I'll leave that question lying in your heads.

say hi to asian obsession

Yes, I am Asian.
No, I was not into K-Pop.
In fact, I had no clue about Korean idols. Until. Few months ago, I started DJ-ing for UBC's Korean radio. Then I started to open my eyes. Now, I am a true Asian who somewhat religiously follows the K-Pop world.
Furthermore, my internet world revolves around Devon Aoki's TFS page. I can't move onto other sites. At the moment, my life.. it's a mess. Oh, yes, did someone say LIU WEN ?!!? Yeup.
So let's start right away !

Liu Wen in V, Tokyo something something. I was bad at jotting down the editorial title, because this wasn't TOO exciting. Liu was trying some new poses out and stuff, I just don't think this is the image or look that she can excel at. Nice seeing her branching out and working with new stylists + photographers, though !!

Liu Wen in Alexander McQueen's Lookbook. Thinking about McQueen just brings a dark cloud over our heads automatically. His presence, ideas, and breathtaking designs will forever be missed. Liu delivers her best in his lookbook. this is why she is rising to the top. She is b o m b, a N U C L E A R B O M B !





Was that too much of gorgeous Asian models ? Should I add in Daul for kicks ? NAWWW. I'd rather show you my fangirl obsession over this Korean band CN Blue !! ! ! !
