EDIT EDIT EDIT [in Instagram]

Normally, app update news doesn't really spark my interests or really prompt me to say anything about it. I mean, apps exist to be patched up and to get new updates and to move the mobile technology another inch farther down the road... But Instagram has really made ME SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went on it without much thought, did my recent posting, and realized I had a typo. You all know that feeling on Instagram... Should I acknowledge the typo and comment? Should I delete the post and repost this time spending extra care on the copy? UGHHHHHhhhh and then while you contemplate this, you garnered a "like". So like, can I delete the post?!?!?!! No. So you make that stupid comment going "haha, typo: cell***"

Well, so going back, I had a typo and this time it was different. I pressed the ellipses button... and there was EDIT MODE.

Yes.

We can now EDIT your INSTA posts' captions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I will never leave those shameful fixing-my-typo-comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

So I thought I was the only person excited... Well, ladies and gentlemen, that wasn't true. The whole world has rejoiced. This was probably like my most momentous any-app-update besides when Candy Crush updates with a new saga of levels.

URGENT: finding more friends on the app, Yo

About two weeks ago, Yo launched with vigor. 

It accumulated a ton of curiosity as its sole purpose is to send yo's to friends. What does that even mean? It means I tap on your name on the screen and it sends a push notification saying that I just yo'd you. Sometimes (and I still haven't figured out why it's only sometimes) the phone says "yo" out loud in this mechanical manly tone, "yo~" Listening to it "yo" is EXTREMELY satisfying and instantaneously makes your day 400 times better.

Plus, as if the app isn't a joke enough (parodies like the Game of Thrones Hodor-ing instead of Yo-ing has emerged), the reviews on the Apple app store page are hilarious!

The problem with Yo (as an app) right now is its decline in popularity. Just like how it had shot to the top of the app store, now it is just another app floating in the appsphere. There are talks about how Yo is a revolutionary app opening the doors into a new level of push notification strategies... but isn't this taking everything a little too far? Isn't this the model example of the North American way of flourishing everything with words for depth? Though we all know what is shallow and what is not, we are all prone to influences. When embellishments are smartly stated, they have the power to disorient the audience into believing in them. In all optimism and fast-paced world of technology, let's see how Yo turns itself around. Until then, I'm having a ton of fun Yo-ing three contacts. THREE. So sad. Therefore, I am searching for more friends on Yo.... add me @ rachelchungg and we can Yo all day...!!!!!!! 

On a side note, there's apparently this new social networking portal opening that is going to be strictly emoji-only. If you've IM-ed with me before, you know how critical emoticons are to my well-being and heightened level of communication. I've already reserved my Emoji.li username. Maybe you'd like to do so? Then we can be friends on the two of the world's "dumbest" + "minimalistic" apps.

Yo!

Active? Lifestyle? Urban? What?

Former Nike design director and his brother based in Portland, Oregon, introduced this new urban bike just a couple of days ago. Currently in pre-production and expected to be out in the market sometime in the near future. It has pronounced itself the ultimate urban bike, however, the company still has plans for further innovation such as, e-bike.

For me, I just died at the three colour choices and the website in how the bike is presented. Beautiful. Really captures the essence of what the bike is all about. And do you see the subtle differences and modernization of the design? The white wheels, the two different sets of wires between the front & bak wheels, and the different options on the wheel cover. They ask for subscription to be added on to the waitlist upon its launch (most likely only in the US), and then also to take part in a quick survey. The survey is where users can make logical assumptions on Cylo's future moves.

According to Gizmag, three models of Cylo are being made, with prices ranging from US$1850 to $3150. The entry-level model will be single-speed, while the high-end model will have an 11-speed gearing system. There are other differences between the models but all feature aluminum frames and carbon belt chains.

Apparently this new free mobile app, LIFT - Daily Motivation, helps you on life coaching, endorses community with similar-goal-oriented people, and even keeps track of data to keep you on track on better living. Sounds like a boho-gone-urban, life-pick-me-up-book-gone-high-technology, and another one of those fairly-unnecessary-and-demotivating-apps-that-we-all-happen-to-download.

Girl. This app has your name all over it, girl. Yeah, so I'm going to give LIFT a try!

So can somebody else? Or actually, I have an idea. I'll download it on my sister's phone and use it everyday at home. Maybe, if I feel like pursuing this blog quality a little higher than necessary (haha.... not funny actually... sorry....), I might do a review thing later. Don't wait for it though; I don't think I'll write one.
