Towering at 180cm and with dark dark skin and hair, she's too authentic and beautiful to pass over. I just can't get enough of her wide set eyes, yo. Grace started modeling less than a year ago and hasn't walked any runways.. YET !!! Hopefully she can start walking and taking over the world. I'm a proud supporter of her already !!! HONG KONG IN THE 80S !

Yesterday, I was given a glimpse into the music scene in Hong Kong in the 80s. Though I was informed that most of the famous songs were Japanese songs directly translated into Cantonese, there were still some thriving original Hong Kong artists.

Even though I cannot speak or understand Cantonese.. I find these songs super good !!!!! I hope you like them, too. Thanks to my friend, Jenny, who introduced them to me.. via her KARAOKE MACHINE. Her Karaoke also has RUMOURS by LINDSAY LOHAN. Flipping my shit here and there; reality's too good to be true. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.

I don't know the name of this woman. So sad, and so is this song. Almost near tears. Something about the behind story of a wedding. Boo hoo.


Sam Hui and his posse of four super hip Hong Kong men. His boss is an asshole, we get the point. Song deals with working class people blahblahb, but I just really dig his outfit in the first part of the music video with the flared pants. OW OWWWW ! Oh and one of his possy men is really hot. Okay. Yeah. Judge me if you wish to.


Priscilla Chan sings Silly Girl. The olden days were so GLAMOROUS. LOOK AT WHAT SHE'S WEARING. She's so petite and cute. This song's also very sad, but the melody sounds very CLASSIC, ya know !? I LOOOOOOOOOVE IT !!!!!! It seems like she's still out and about singing.. I saw her live videos of her concerts that are somewhat recent - 2008. I totally dig her dark eyebrows and her painted lips and her SUPER GLITTERY OUTFIT + HEADPIECE. Ugh, s w o o n - - - - -


Finally, since one of my favourite bands, Arcade Fire WON A FUCKING GRAMMY !!! ALBUM OF THE YEAR !!!!!! THE SUBURBS, YEAAAAHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel obliged to embed a video of them. Wake Up from their first album, Funeral. They are playing a holy show @ Madison Square Garden in NYC. Fuck yeah !!!!!!!!!!!

some favourites

I've been on a blogging limbo on Blogspot lately.. and blame that on Tumblr.
OMFG. AHH. AHH. AHH. AHH. AHH. IKR !?
It's not taking over my life anymore but I still do enjoy it OH SO SO SO MUCH. Ahahaha.
I find a lot of beautiful pictures of beautiful people and favourite jpegs EVER.

Though... there's so much talent in the world and it's such a shame that it sort of gets exploited in a very bland way these days. Like Tumblr. Sure people appreciate most of the postings, but they just become just one of blog posts. It's a little weird.
In fact, as I post my favs, they just become specific pixelated stuff that you would expect on my blog from time to time. Nothing less or nothing more. This sort of fast digital world is mind-blowingly scary in my opinion.

So what can I do about this ? I'm unsure. I'll think about it all day long today and see if I can come up with an answer. Wish me luck !!! But while you wish me luck, you can still enjoy these. Hehe :P

recent viewings

Yesterday morning, I felt like a short movie. So I searched up an old Japanese cult movie based on novel and manga, Battle Royale !! Basically another sick (not like GREAT SICK, but like GROTESQUE SICK) Japanese movie about middle schoolers killing off each other on a deserted island. I feel like I shouldn't've started my day with such a movie.........


Last night, I watched a recent (2009) Hong Kong movie. I'm super into Asian movies lately. Just trying to try out all different kinds of movies, ya know. I've kind of no stress on my shoulders because I've got reading break next week. YAAAYYYY !!
Anyways, this one's called OVERHEARD and it's sort of like the old HK cop movies because it moves quite slow. But it is distinctively new since it deals with all this new, high-technology gear !!! WOAAAHHHHH. The morale: Just don't commit crimes or do things against your moral & ethics. FOR REALLZZZZZ.

Then there's King's Speech. Where everyone was brilliant and I cried so so so so so much in the theatre. I can't believe myself. And on a Colin Firth roll, I watched both the Bridget Jones's Diaries.. YAY !!!!!! I really do wish that the movie will win LOTS of awards at the Oscar's the end of this month. Hehe.
